Terms of Service

Welcome to Parlez-Vous (the “App”), developed by Leventen Studios (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use Parlez-Vous.

1. Eligibility

To use Parlez-Vous, you must:

• Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required by law in your country).
• Use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
• Agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you are under 18, you confirm that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian.

2. Subscription & Billing

Parlez-Vous provides access to its features through auto-renewable subscriptions, available as:

• Monthly subscription
• Yearly subscription

2.1 Payment

Your Apple ID account will be charged at the time of purchase.

2.2 Auto-Renewal

Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your Apple ID account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the billing cycle.

2.3 Managing Your Subscription

You may manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your App Store account settings. We do not provide refunds for unused portions of subscription periods, except where required by law.

2.4 Access Requirement

Parlez-Vous uses a hard paywall. An active subscription is required to access the App’s features, including but not limited to:

• AI-generated conversations and responses
• Speech recognition and pronunciation analysis
• Vocabulary tracking
• Conversation history and progress analytics

Without a subscription, App access is limited.

3. Use of AI & Audio Processing

Parlez-Vous uses third-party artificial intelligence services to transcribe your speech, analyze pronunciation, generate conversational responses, and provide feedback and learning insights.

3.1 Consent to Audio Processing

By using the App, you consent to the transmission of audio recordings and text inputs to third-party AI providers and temporary processing of this data to generate responses and insights. We do not sell or share your audio data with advertisers.

3.2 Accuracy of AI Responses

AI-generated content may not always be accurate or appropriate. You acknowledge that AI suggestions may contain errors, you use the generated content at your own discretion, and AI output should not be considered professional or certified language instruction.

4. User Data, Storage & Cloud Sync

4.1 iCloud Sync

Parlez-Vous uses iCloud to store conversation history, learning progress, app settings, and user-specific preferences. To use these features, you must be signed into iCloud and have iCloud enabled.

4.2 Data Loss

You are responsible for maintaining access to your Apple ID and iCloud. We are not liable for loss of data caused by disabled iCloud, deletion of iCloud data, device reset, or network failures.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to:

• Use the App for illegal or harmful purposes
• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or copy the App
• Interfere with the App’s normal operation
• Use the App to create harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content
• Use automated tools to access or disrupt the App

Violation of these rules may result in restricted access or termination of your account.

6. Intellectual Property

All content within Parlez-Vous—including design, text, visuals, features, logos, and code—is the property of Leventen Studios and protected under copyright law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or resell any part of the App.

7. Modification of the Service

We may update, modify, or discontinue parts of the App at any time. This includes features, pricing, subscription structure, technical behavior, and user interface. Updates may occur automatically through the App Store. We will provide notice of major changes when appropriate.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms, misuse the App, or we are legally required to do so. You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided “as is” and “as available.” We make no warranties regarding accuracy of AI responses, continuous availability, error-free performance, or learning outcomes. Use the App at your own risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Leventen Studios is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, loss of data or access, errors in AI responses, or device issues, data charges, or network failures. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for your most recent subscription period.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Quebec, Canada, and applicable Canadian federal laws. Any disputes shall be resolved in Quebec.
